Hosted by actor Robert Sean Leonard, the readings touch on worlds historical, contemporary and futuristic, brought to life by a talented all-star cast.
From a fantastic exploration of the moon to a blind woman’s adventures in a mysterious Manhattan to a rendezvous at a bar on a Parisian side street, the stories explore what romantic, hilarious and curious things can happen after the sun sets. Presented at the Getty Center, the annual series is part of the themed radio show Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story and is produced by New York’s Symphony Space. In addition to Leonard, the cast includes Sean Astin, Wyatt Cenac, Jane Kaczmarek, Christina Pickles, Liev Schreiber, Kirsten Vangsness and more. Authors include Jenny Allen, Margaret Atwood, Megan Mayhew Bergman, Ray Bradbury, Deborah Levy, Ben Loory, Joe Meno, Dolan Morgan, and Jess Row, among others.
