Julius Shulman’s Los Angeles, which includes rarely-seen photographs from the Getty Research Institute’s Julius Shulman Photography Archive, will be on view at the Canal de Isabel II, Madrid, Spain from February 16 through May 16, 2010 as part of ARCOmadrid’s exciting roster of satellite exhibitions. For the first time in the fair’s 29-year history, ARCOmadrid, an international contemporary art fair, is honoring a city, rather than a country, recognizing L.A. as one of the most prolific and vibrant contemporary arts centers in the international art world. Julius Shulman’s Los Angeles has been organized by the Getty Research Institute in collaboration with Comunidad de Madrid.
