LOS ANGELES—Once again, the Getty Center comes alive with festive holiday lights on Saturday nights this season, from November 28, 2015, through January 2, 2016.

The Getty Museum stays open until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evenings, creating the perfect opportunity to illuminate the holidays. Beginning November 28, visitors can sip complimentary mulled cider as they take in the twinkling lights of the city, and visit The Edible Monument: the Art of Food for Festivals, and Eat, Drink and Be Merry: Food in the Middle Ages and Renaissance.

And opening on December 15, just in time for the holidays, Woven Gold: Tapestries of Louis XIV, features colorful and glittering tapestries that evoke the brilliance of the Sun King’s court.

While you’re enjoying the holiday spirit, don’t miss the chance to visit the Getty Store for meaningful gifts for everyone on your list. Special items, sure to illuminate anyone’s holiday, include books, educational toys, silk scarves designed from the museum's collection, and delicate jewelry.

Because the Getty Center is open late, Saturdays offer a perfect opportunity to take advantage of the Getty’s Pay Once, Park Twice program, offering same-day parking at both the Getty Center and the Getty Villa for one $15 fee. Simply get a “Pay Once, Park Twice” coupon at the Museum Information Desk at the Getty Villa during the day, and present it at the Getty Center in the evening.

Admission to the Getty is always free. Parking is $15; $10 after 4:00 p.m. For more information visit or call (310) 440-7300.
