$10 parking begins at 4:00 pm, leaving more time to enjoy the Museum
By offering the discounted rate an hour earlier, the Getty hopes to encourage more visitors to come later in the day to enjoy the sunset and avoid the crowds, particularly on Saturdays at the Getty Center, when the site remains open until 9:00 p.m. The earlier discount also gives visitors who are attending evening lectures and performances more time to spend in the Museum before the evening event begins.
The Getty’s popular “Pay Once, Park Twice” program will still be in effect, offering same-day parking at both the Getty Center and the Getty Villa for one parking fee. Visit the Museum Information Desk at the Center or the Villa to obtain a coupon good for same-day complimentary parking at the other site.
