Mr. Lynton is the CEO of Sony Entertainment. In this role, he oversees Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment and Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Before joining Sony, he was the president of AOL Europe, AOL International and Time Warner International. Mr. Lynton serves on the boards of Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and RAND Corporation. He also is a member of the Harvard Board of Overseers.
Mr. Rothenberg is the Chairman of the Capital Group Companies, Inc., a privately held investment firm that serves as the investment adviser to the American Funds, the third largest mutual fund family in the United States. For the past ten years, he has served as the Treasurer of Harvard University and continues as a fellow of the Harvard Corporation. He currently sits as a governor of the Investment Company Institute, a trustee of the California Institute of Technology, and as Chairman of the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
Mr. Lynton joined the Board effective July 1, 2014, and Mr. Rothenberg’s term will begin January 1, 2015. Getty Trustees are elected for a four-year term, and may serve three terms.

Mr. Rothenberg and his wife, Anne, live in Pasadena, California. Their three adult children and their families live in Pasadena as well. Mr. Lynton and his wife Jamie live in Brentwood, California.
Mr. Rothenberg and Mr. Lynton join a Getty Board of Trustees that includes leaders in art, education, and business who volunteer their time and expertise on behalf of the Getty.
