The opening of the Expo Line creates new opportunities to take public transportation options to both the Getty Center and Getty Villa.

Now, Metro offers direct bus service to both sites from Expo Line stations. To get to the Getty Center, hop on Metro Bus 734 on weekdays and 234 on the weekends at the Metro Expo Line Sepulveda station.

To get to the Villa, take the Metro Express 534 at 5th Street and Colorado Avenue, across the street from the Downtown Santa Monica Station. (You’ll still need a free timed ticket, available at Visit Getty—just have the bus driver punch it when you get on the bus.)

Taking the bus means that your entire visit to the Getty is free—no parking fee, no parking garage, just the art and the views and you.

Enjoy summer evening hours and events at both the Getty Center and the Getty Villa, and leave the driving to Metro.

Get complete route information from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO): 323-GO-METRO (323-466-3876), or use the LA METRO Trip Planner.
