Help students get the most out of their visits to the J. Paul Getty Museum.

School Group Volunteer positions are available for both the Getty Center and Getty Villa. Find applications at getty.edu (applications close August 3).

School Group Volunteers facilitate the safe and orderly movement of visiting school groups, consisting of students, educators and chaperones on weekday mornings between 8:45a.m. and 12:00p.m. They assist with greeting K-12 student group arrivals by greeting buses, helping with student picnics and escorting student groups to their lessons.

School Group Volunteers do not give tours to students and must be at least 18 years of age. Fluency in more than one language helpful but not required; no previous arts experience necessary. The Getty asks for a 2-year commitment to the Volunteer Program.

Volunteers receive free parking as well as dining and gift store discounts. For more information visit the Getty’s volunteer page.
