The extended Friday evening hours will give visitors more time to enjoy Herb Ritts: LA Style, which continues throughout most of the summer, and Gustav Klimt: The Magic of Line, a major international loan exhibition of Klimt’s rarely seen drawings that opens on July 3.
In addition, the Getty Center features expanded family-focused programming throughout the summer, including Garden Concerts for Kids in August and free tours and activities each day. Saturdays off the 405 offers a lively lineup of fresh new music, dancing and provocative gallery tours in June, July, September and October.
The Restaurant will be open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, and coffee carts will offer sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks. Parking, normally $15, is discounted to $10 after 5pm. Admission is always free. For information about visiting the Getty, or to make dinner reservations at the Restaurant, go to www.getty.edu/visit.
