Get your toga on at the Getty Villa’s annual College Night on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, from 6:00–9:30 p.m.

when college students are once again invited to enjoy a free night of special tours, live music, food, and other activities at the Getty Villa, a recreation of an ancient Roman country house.

Students are encouraged to attend in togas—and to ensure authenticity, the Getty provides this video demonstrating how to properly wear a toga the ancient Roman way. Attendees will travel back in time as they explore the Museum’s collection of ancient art, from the end of the Stone Age to the fall of the Roman Empire, with special tours and talks led by Villa staff and docents, behind-the-scenes looks at conservation labs, and photo opportunities with Roman re-enactors in amazing Legio VI Victrix costumes. The night will also include portraits drawn by caricature artists, door prizes, DJ sets by Audiomoe, and free food and drinks, plus a cash bar for anyone 21 and over, food concessions and other surprises.

Admission and parking are free for College Night but a ticket is required. To reserve a ticket call 310-440-7300 or go online.
